Q: Saleen Pricing? - 2008 S281 S/C
Hi all! Just recently started looking at Saleen Mustangs and have my heart set on one here in town that's come up for sale. I just cant find anything concrete on fair price ranges on the 2008 models. I'm looking at a black one with about 22K miles on it. I'ts the S/C model. I've done some research so far but there aren't really any '08 models to do comparisons with. Maybe ya'll might be able to shed some light on fair pricing for a car like this? Are what these typically sell for?

$30,000.00 would be fair for 2008 S281 S/C coupe. Without knowing overall condition, maintenance and options.
A fair range could be $28,000.00 to $32,000.00. Anywhere in the 20s, with a clean title and no previous damage should be considered well priced (for a 2008 S281 S/C coupe). |

Great! That's not too bad. The car I'm looking at is actually right in that range. Thank you :)

Oh! I know if varies on a lot of different vehicles, but when looking to purchase these vehicles do things like aftermarket exhaust systems and what not devalue the cars much?

You can always make an offer. The worst they can say is "no."
Example: This 2007 went from $37K to $28K. http://saleenforums.soec.org/showthread.php?t=15890 |

The car I'm looking at is a black S281 S/C #008-0014. I don't know if the previous owner might have been on this board or not. Looks like there's been some performance parts added onto it, from the receipts.

If that's for a SC S281 then it was a steal! I would guess it was not SC'd but that's just a guess.

I am recent owner of a low mileage 07. I already knew, from a couple of months of research and shopping what a "fair" price was for me. Once I found the car that literally jumped of the screen when I first saw it on ebay, I knew right then that i was going to buy that car. I made an offer, he countered and i said "sold!" "Fairness" will be a moot point when you find your car.

Yes. S/C car. Price is not off. He was asking $29k but things always change when you show up with green backs.

I felt that I got a good deal till I took it to a local tuner shop to get some work done. He told me that he had recently had 2 of the same model SC281 one 08 the other 07 with less miles that the owners were willing to take less than what I paid. Dont know if he was just saying that because I sounded so excited at the deal I got. lol.

22 for an 08 supercharged is a killer deal, I'd be very excited if I got that deal too, tuner had to be pulling your chain
