Default how word sensor pedal clutch ?

I disassembled the clutch of sensor (not the clutch sensor use for start engine)
When the pedal is in the back position ( clutch not press), the sensor is pressed thoroughly.
The total of this sensor run is 22 MM
When the sensor output is almost completely (about 3mm) and the pedal has half of its path the signal is cut and the position ( pedal pressed) is detected
See drawing attache

Are what these values are normal? I find that detect the clutch in the middle of the race of clutch is a little late!

Is it normal ?
