Q: Bushing kit suggestions and steering?
I am going to go ahead ( I Think) and l am to replace every suspension bushing. Cam anyone suggest a kit that is both complete and high quality? It will be for 1995 #49.
Secondly, with new tires installed, and an alignment to Saleen specs, I can now notice a kind of steering wheel "vague" spot while driving down a very straight road. I can move the wheel a little to the left and right, with it feeling "free". Is this probably a worn steering rack, or just inherent with the sn95 cars? Thanks. Dan |

Spoke with Molly Saleen, she has bushings and end links in-stock for 1994-2004 Saleen Mustangs.

I pieced together Maximum Motorsports and Prothane items, did front control arms, ball joints, tie rods, sway bar bushings/endlinks, upper control arm bushings and replaced the lower control arms with MM LCAs.
Also I added some MM solid steering rack bushings because I felt the same thing, except i'm starting to think it was the old rubber bushings. Just about every bushing I pulled out was cracked or torn. Steering could also be the rubber joint in the steering shaft, there are ways to check that. I've seen others describe having cracks/tears in them and having alot of movement in the wheel. |
