Default Q: Differential ratio?

Is there a way to tell what rear end ratio is in my 2001 Saleen SC. A 3:27 or 3:55?

Should be a tag on the diff cover with that info.

Default gear ratio

Check the window sticker. Check the Saleen book, pull the passenger kick panel and locate your ECU, the gear ratio is usually written on the ECU along with the car serial number. If all fails, pull the diff cover and check it out, that would actually be the sure way just in case a previous owner changed it. Let us know what you got :)

last almost dirty option, raise the rear on a jack, car in neutral park break off, all safety in place (wheel chocks, jackstands, level ground, etc), put a little tape on a spot on a rear tire near the ground straight down, another marker on the driveshaft straight at bottom. Or use whatever marking method is handy, a dot of white out if you're and office type.
turn the wheel one turn so the marker comes back to the same spot. The driveshaft will have turned numerous times so keep track while you're turning. When the drive shaft turned 3 and a half times that's your 3.55 (rounding 3.50) and when the driveshaft turned 3 and a quarter times that's your 3.27 (rounding 3.25)

Presuming it's either 3.27 or 3.55 you can just check the driveshaft final spot rather than watching it move, but the live action is so cool.

This should be it but I'm certainly humble for corrections.
