Default Video: Saleen S7 TT (05-056) Surpasses Pre-sale Estimate

From our friends at RM Sotheby's.

Published on Aug 18, 2015
Relive the auction action of the Pinnacle Portfolio as another highlight from the unprecedented collection, the 2005 Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, crosses the auction podium. One of only two competition package-equipped S7s, capable of producing 1,000hp, the ultimate American-made supercar brings a final price of $682,000, well exceeding its pre-sale estimate.

I was in California on vacation a couple weeks ago. We were driving up Route 1 from LA to SF around the time of that auction. I was trying to convince the wife to sell our house so we could bid on that S7; but she just wouldn't go for it.

The only crashed orange TT I am aware of is the one owned by the junk bonds' guy that help with the 2008 housing crash of 2008. The wana-be movie producer that made a feature film titled "Red Line."

A different orange TT was owned by an HPA / Saleen Inc executive... Mr. Kevin. This car was sold when Saleen Inc went under.

There's also a modified orange TT with a revised turbo system.
