Great photos!

Will you be rebuilding the vehicle back to OE, or will there be a few deviations? Either way... have fun with it!

Make a thread for the build! With the hood, front bumper, and engine removed, the car looks to be in better condition than i thought. Good luck with the build!

Will do. I have most of the parts already. I was going to clone a mustang so I have been saving saleen parts. I have a fiberglass hood. Trying to find a good deal on a aluminum one. Need one front wheel & heat exchanger and I will have all the Saleen Parts I think. The car had a aluminium hood originally. I was told the fiberglass hood I have was Saleen. Did Saleen use a fiberglass hood from the factory?

A buddy of mine just swapped his heat exchanger out. I'm sure he would sell it

Hi! Yes, Saleen Inc installed the composite vented hood on factory S/C vehicles in 2005. They also offered this hood through Speedlab parts.

From 2006-09 the aluminum version was installed on factory S/C and Extreme versions. (Exceptions being: 2008 Red Flag, 2008 American Flag, 2009 S281 Sport. They retained the OE Ford Hood.)

The aluminum version was also the service replacement part for the 2005 S281 S/C. A few '05s had their composite hoods replaced by Saleen Inc do to wobble at speed.

Mike Cooper at Found-A-Deal might help with locating a new (or near new) wheel. Make sure to note the off-set and width of the wheel you need to replace. These markings are on the backside. There were a few different versions of the Saleen 7-spoke produced during their lifespan.

If the funds exist... Found-A-Deal, and basically eBay in general, are littered with sets of authentic 2007-09 Saleen Forged 5-spoke wheels. Not a bad upgrade for under $1,000.00.

Thanks Guys. I actually got the hood with the car when I purchased the car wrecked. It is a composite Saleen hood not the aluminum one.

OMG! That sucks! Well, at least you'll have a new paint job all around. Maybe a few extra coats of clear are in order? Maybe some ghost flames?

I made a template out of paper. Then used air type jig saw followed by air orbital sander & a hand file . It took about a 1 1/2 hour. Just take your time and dont get in any hurry.

We have a bunch of brand new supercharger install components including a new pump and wiring harness, pullies, we could help you out with. Sorry, after logging in the pictures opened up and I can see that your basically finished now. Car looks GREAT!! I cant tell if thats Screaming Yellow, Grabber Orange or most likely a custom color?

Thanks Jared! Some of the photos made the car look very much like a Screamin Yellow but not quite even Grabber Orange. Must have been the lighting.
