Default Saleen Ships First Versions of 2015 302 Mustang

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Impressive year on the horizon for Saleen

Saleen Automotive Inc. (OTCQB: SLNN) Corona, CA – (February 2, 2015)

A new generation of Mustang history has begun as Saleen Automotive ships the first versions of the all-new 302 Mustangs from their Southern California production facility. Keeping with the formula that Saleen uses to produce its instantly recognizable vehicles since 1984, these first models are White Label versions and serve as the launch as Saleen ramps up production of the all-new Mustang.

The Saleen Advantage
As the introductory model to the Saleen 302 model lineup, the White Label touts an incredible list of features in a complete vehicle. The White Label utilizes a 302 cubic inch V8 engine with premium calibration to produce 450 naturally aspirated horsepower. Superior handling on the Saleen 302 is maintained by specific-rate suspension springs and sway bar bushings and links, with traction managed by the staggered 20" wheels and Z-rated tires. Aerodynamics and aesthetics on the Saleen 302 include a high-volume intake grille, quarter window panel, and high downforce rear wing atop a Saleen taillight panel. Akin to the rest of the vehicles that Saleen produces, a limited number of these Mustangs will be produced and each one will receive a serialized number. Saleen is the only manufacturer in the world to offer a vehicle with this much power, remarkable styling, and limited number exclusivity with prices starting in the low $40,000s.

According to Bloomberg, “The U.S. auto industry is poised for an unprecedented sixth straight annual sales increase next year.” Combine this with the fact that the Ford Mustang outsold the Chevrolet Camaro and the Dodge Challenger combined in November of last year, according to autoguide.com, and you can see that Saleen 302 Mustang is headed for a historic year.

“These are the best Mustangs I have ever built” asserted Steve Saleen, CEO of Saleen Automotive. “We are in for a thrill ride as this car will take us to levels we have never seen before.”

More Than One Trick Pony
Along with the White Label model, Saleen also offers Yellow and Black Label versions for an enhanced experience. The Yellow Label comes equipped with a Saleen supercharged 302 ci engine. While the Black Label is the no holds barred, fully loaded big brother of the two and will be revealed at a special event on March 20, 2015. For more information, or to place an order for any of the three versions of the 302, visit saleen.com.

Wheels on that car appear to be hold overs from PJ cars..

rear spoiler delete? that would sure look odd as Saleen has been known for their styles rear wings since '84

Not sure I am grasping this car yet....

the rear brake upgrade has been something I wanted since the 94-95 SR models had them...GREAT idea from Saleen, just not enough for me to run down and buy one

Wing Deletes were offered on the 2012-2014 White and Yellow Label Mustangs.

A wing delete could also take place on the 2005-2009 SC & Extreme model (not publicized much).

Am I right that the white and yellow labels are using the stock front bumpers?

Am I the only who has doubts they've actually produced 54 of these already?

Maybe it is the filter, but the pics seem a little unreal. I look forward to seeing one in person. Fixing the stance was the best upgrade so far!

I was told they have sold 3 cars. This was from a former saleen dealership here on Long Island.

If they are on number 52 they have to exist somewhere - try to find them kinda like an Easter egg hunt - shoot pictures for us we are all waiting to see one in real life.

I am lost when it comes to Saleen's Marketing. Why so secretive? Let it be known where these cars are! Sell!Sell!Sell.$$$$. Not Hide!Hide!Hide!

Agreed. What I don't like about the car is that it too closely resembles a regular Mustang. There are only subtle styling cues like the grille, decklid, and wheels. Past Saleens like mine had the body kit that truly set it apart across all models. I know its a cost thing, but it sucks that you have to buy the Black Label to get true Saleen styling.

Looks like we will have to wait another month - moved the reveal from Feb 20th to March 20th - hope no one booked motels or flights

The White Label model depicted in the beautiful blue above is the entry-level Saleen model, which has core Saleen features, minor upgrades, a nice tune and Saleen heritage, but without the expense of body kit and expensive add-ons that some don't want to or possibly can't afford. It's a nice package for those who appreciate value and the provenance of a Saleen.

The 2015 S302 Black Label, with all the bells and whistles and body kit, is now set to debut a month later than originally planned. When I saw Steve two weeks ago he was cautiously optimistic about the February 20th date, and stated that "the engineers keep changing things," so I guess they finally decided give them another month.

I'm excited and can wait a month... I don't really have time to complain... unless it's about complainers. ;)

As I always say, in the car hobby, patience is a virtue. :)

No worries - just hanging with some of the boys here in Detroit and someone said the release date changed. there was a giant date on the top of the site then it changed and we didn't know why - little knowledge from your end occasionally would be appreciated we are in the dark (literally here) awaiting spring digging out our cars etc. All the best in sunny California.
Glad to here everything is on track. Keep us posted.
