Q: 97-0048B S281 Budget rental car?
HI I'm new to this forum and I am looking at a saleen budget rental and had some questions on the ride of them. Didn't know if there a smooth ride or a rough ride with the race craft suspension. And what would it be worth with 73k miles but missing saleen wheels but very clean?

Welcome to the forum. What car # are you looking at?
As for the ride quality, the rental cars had stock springs while in service and they were supposed to be changed out to Racecraft when they were removed from service before being auctioned off. We have found that many of these cars never had the springs replaced, so it may still have stock springs on it. Check the color of the springs to identify. That said, I have driven both and the ride quality is fine. Even with the Saleen springs it rides nicely. Stock seats make a difference. Also, be sure to check out this Facebook page if you are on Facebook. Great source of information on Budget cars, or at least an effort. https://www.facebook.com/groups/149073248596601/ |

Racecraft are generally red. The stock spring would have been painted orange.
