Default Q: Factory Ford white paint issues?

Do the SN Saleens have the same paint issues as the non Saleen SN's?

I was curious if Saleen repainted the entire car when they did their conversion.

The Crystal White SN's are notorious for peeling paint and I love the white saleen.

Default 1995 #111

I would think they have the same paint, especially the early cars sent they were Mustang GT's before they were Saleens. I own 1995 #111 which is white and I have had no paint issues.

While I owned '96 #77 for nearly 15 years (always garaged, waxed regularly) I noticed some peeling in the upper passenger side roof to front glass area. It was minimal but I was concerned. I don't believe they painted the entire car. I also had peeling in the top of the trunk on the inside near the trunk seal. Also check around where the rear fenders were "rolled", I also had some peeling there.

Correct. Saleen only paints the conversion parts. If there are defective factory paint jobs from Ford Motor Company on main body shells, Saleen Mustangs will suffer similar fate.

I was hoping they would have repainted the entire car, wishful thinking.
