Default For real??? - Saleen parts quality

Recently I was considering selling my Saleen, but after much thought it isn't going anywhere.

With that being said, I wanted to make a few changes. I am looking into a gps in dash, and some 35% tint all around.

Now this is what makes me mad! My car has 8500 miles on it, and has almost never seen rain. So why did I just spend $200 at the speedlab buying new side emblems and 3erd brake light lens? Just venting, and I am sure I am not the only one!

Don't feel bad, I did the same thing. I need a windshield banner too.

Oh no, you are right. My car just turned 9000 miles and I replaced the third brake light last week. I can see the emblems are starting to lose their color too. My car was owned by a guy who only drove it to and from shows and stored it in a warehouse with about 30 other cars. I have only had it about 3 weeks.

But, that is the price of playing in the Saleen game.

Default Krylon KSCP902 Short Cuts Paint Pen, .33-Ounce, Chrome

FYI: I saw someone restored their emblems with this chrome pen, I heard it worked well too...I have yet to do it myself.

You can wet sand your 3rd brake light and have the dealership clear coat it. Not only will this restore the light but will never dull again.

It works great. I did it to mine and they look great. Just need a steady hand for the job.

Another thing to get done when the weather is nice so far it's:
Emblems
Exhaust hanger broke
Dyno to check tune
Plugs
Replace hood vent

Really? Or just pay $40 for a brand new one that will be good for years..

My emblems (long ago), hood vents and exhaust (from that hanger tearing a hole out of the Driver's side can) were all replaced under warranty during the recently expired 3 year 36k miles. The '07 and up 3rd lights are from another manufacturer supposedly and I haven't had an issue yet.

The Emblems made from 2009 on are supposed to be a different supplier that does not fade as bad. Mine are starting to wear, but my car is a DD.

I replaced the windshield banner the first time on my own nickel less than a year ago and Saleen Speedlab warranty was able to cover a replacement banner. Thanks to David Rivard.
