Default 07-0230PJ: PJ w/ LS3 engine

PJ-0230 is now a track car.

This is possibly the saddest thing I have ever seen. A moment of silence for a fallen car.......

Why would someone spend all that money on a PJ to do this to it? I love seeing these cars driven, especially on a track, but this is way too far.

I would have been so much cheaper to buy a 6 cylinder car and to make into a LS garbage track car.

Default PJ mod

I will admit that The LS3 makes for a tidy engine compartment compared to a stock PJ. However, as has been noted, this was a huge, error in judgement.....

So, is that like a Chevy engine, in a PJ???
SHould have went with the non-blown Shelby engine!
Not that the standard 302 was a slouch or anything...

I was thinking the same thing when I read this the other day but just didn't know how to say it. Could have purchased a white body mustang to make a race mule. When the hood is raised you can always see the Saleen badge to say look at what I just destroyed with a Chevy to make it a track car.

As always to each his own and if you have the money. The less there are the higher the value of an original.

I suppose you call it a "track car" because now it will scatter oil, coolant, and other fluids all across the track, eh?

By the way, does anybody else find it ironic that this was done by a company that is named "JCG RESTORATION and customs"? You would think that a company who does restorations would know the value of a car like this, and not butcher it.

Oh no doubt. Still, I would highly advise against doing this to any customer who asks me about it. More important than turning a buck is being honest.

What is this trend with LSX's in Mustangs!? From what I have seen, it is usually guys who absolutely hate fords, and despise of the mustang. Why in the hell would you want to drive a car you hate around 24/7? Just so you can annoy some ford people when you lift your hood? I am not a huge fan of lowered Honda civics, maybe I should buy one and put a 5 liter in it.

I am the wrong person to ask here. I still cringe when I see Chevy engines in Cobra replicas.

It appears #230 now has a 5-liter Ford Coyote in the engine bay.

The LS motor was only temporary. The car was slated to run in the Optima challenge and the a Ford motor could be built in time for the event.

The fender work pictures start back on page 30 of that thread.
