Default PJ valve covers

I am thinking about redoing my PJ valve covers.

What is available out there already? What is the cost?

First option; I have seen the 281 Mspts Grabber Orange valve covers and they look nice. I may have to contact Jason for pricing and availablity.

Another option is to just remove mine and have them powdercoated locally. I would not be able to match the grabber orange so would do them in bright silver.

Another option is to remove mine and wet paint them grabber orange, clearcoat and throw on some Saleen decal.

Any suggestions?

Every time a PJ gains orange valve covers, Phil Frank twitches.

Really? LOL, so Phil Frank likes the nasty cast aluminum discolored valve covers? Ahh, C'mon Dave those look terrible stock. At least powdercoat them black, silver something but raw... lol

The PJ Edition was to have model specific cam covers. At least during the planning and early marketing of the vehicle. Similar to the exhaust headers that were announced, then nixed.

I was curious what these "never made" covers were to look like, with the idea of producing a pair. Anyway, during a brief communicated with Mr. Frank... in jest, it was stated... "don't do them in orange."

It made me chuckle.

I think they look good in Grabber Orange. We have done them in texture black and those look clean as hell with a set of silver ceramic coated long tube headers!!!! Anything but raw cast aluminum...

Here are my valve covers that I bought years ago via ebay.

I have an early PJ #39 delivered 12/06 and it came with the standard valve covers which were rather ugly. A few years back I switched them out for new ones.

Those were awesome, but I heard rumors they were stopped due to copyright issues, when I called them they said they quite doing automotive stuff all together, so who knows.

I have just rebuilt the engine in my Legend Lime racecar and painted them Legend Lime with Saleen Decals

The reason I had to rebuild the engine was that the cam phaser blocks started disintegrating and put fine particle of metal into the oil system, luckily it only affected the main bearings, would never use this product again.
