Default Help: Ignition problem? - Occuring sometimes

Just came home from a 4000 mile holiday with the PJ, from the Netherlands, thru Germany, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
With about 5 miles from returning home the PJ started running rough (when driving 70 m/h / 2500 rpm) and losing power, like it's missing out on 1 or 2 cylinders. Idle is also rough.
I slowed my pace down and made it home.

I had it also happen during the holiday @ 1000 miles. Back then I was driving low rpm (1200) and I overcame it then by tuning of the overdrive.
After 45 minutes driving the problem was gone, and driving was normal again.
It didn't reoccur untill I was almost home, some 2500 miles later.

In my search on this forum I came across this old topic: http://saleenforums.soec.org/showthr...ight=sparkplug

Could one of the sparkplugs be the problem with my PJ ?
Which replacement would you suggest ?
I know JDM put in Champion 1-piece sparkplugs at my request.

Please remember:
Mine is the only SALEEN PJ with
AUTOMATIC Transmission

No check engine light? may see if you can have some one check to see if it threw a code, best place to start.

Hi Ronald
Had a similar problem with my race car
After lots of changing plugs, coils and checking ignition system, my tune guy fitted a Powermax V2 booster to the ignition system. These boosters are designed for fuel pumps and are adjustable.
Problem has seemed to disappeared, though haven't used it since.
Currently Brenda & I are in Ottawa heading down to SCOA show in Alabama next week

Tony

I forgot to write an update on the problem.
The day after, after about 1 minute driving, the engine ran normal again.

Took the PJ in for service @ Hennie Lek's and could not find any faults in the computer.
Cleaned the trottlebody, replaced plugs with Autolite's, replaced engine-oil and fuel filter.

Just the alternator output seems a bit low, 12,6 V
When Hennie checked an other Mustang it charged at 13,5 V
