Steve will sign Saleens after the event, so simply be by your Saleen if you want it signed and Steve will come by.

I'm hearing that this show is entirely booked up by pre-registered vehicles at this point. Are you guys able to confirm?

They have not told me that, just that everyone who did not pre reg needs to get there early. However it would not surpeise me if it seller out before 10 AM

So what happens if you pre-registered and are not there by 10 AM? I can't get there until a little later (closer to 10:30).

Is the SOEC saving spots for saleens or would I be shut out?

Thumbs up

I must say that Greg did an outstanding job with Steve Saleen signing all the saleens at the show. This by far was the best show I have ever attended and the only show I have ever been too with 30 other great looking saleens.

I had Steve Saleen sign my car in 3 different places without question.

GREAT JOB GREG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Greg,

Wow, We had a great time at the show. We met some nice people, looked at some great cars and got the car signed in 2 places. Steve was gracious as always. It was worth Trailering the car to the show.

Thank you.

Greg- It was a pleasure meeting you and your family, you did an outstanding job organizing the Saleen stable and keeping us informed about the schedule for the day.
I have to say it was great to meet so many people who are as obsessed with their cars as me and in most cases even more! The quality of the cars was incredible and it was awesome to see so many Saleens in the same place and more than awesome to meet Steve Saleen. He signed my car in two spots plus signed four other items. Man that was AWSOME the most fun I'd ever had a car show.
For someone as accomplished as Steve Saleen to graciously spend as much time with each Saleen owner and sign pretty much anything we all asked was amazing and very much appreciated.
Thank You Mr. Saleen!!!!

Thanks guys it was my pleasure sharing the day with you. It was fun for me I haven't attending a show in years, been a little busy with Taylor and adjusting to being a dad (still sounds weird to me DAD). Nice to see the hobby is still made up a Saleen crazy people like myself, I love the fact that we had an owner come down from Mass and up from Southwestern VA just to send the day with other who share the same interest. Steve loves these events it was fun watching him admire the cars. He truely loves what he does and cares for the owners.

Steve asked that I let you all know he appreciated everyone coming out and all of the support over the years.

Keep your eye on the site email up and running, there are going to be a couple more events like this over the summer.

Hope to see some of you guys over the summer

Great pictures!

It was really cool seeing so many Saleens from across the generations all in one place. It was almost too much to take in at once. I hope I have a chance to participate in something like that again someday.

Being next to Greg I can attest to him having his hands full with the kids :)

Very nice show, thanks for organizing. I think my 8-year old daughter had an even better time than I did. She was so happy we put our car in the show, as I usually don't do shows. She now wants to go to another one next weekend.

What's the story on the red 90 SC? I have seen pics of this car and have always wondered about it. I see it has a cage in it, does anyone know what kind it is?

First owner Kerry Peterson did open track events with SC 90-0012. Was a magazine car since new. Vehicle featured a cage and fire suppression system.

The SC contiuned its limelight with features in magazines through 1993 and was eventually upgraded with a supercharger and Stern wheels.

Also, used in variations of ads for Saleen Performance Parts and participated in a drag race with Tim Allen during an episode of the Tonight Show.

If memory serves me right, it was during the early part of the last decade when the vehicle was offered for sale on an internet classified site with a free set of 3-piece Sterns. I think it was under 20K... maybe 2001 or so. I can recall the photos of the vehicle sitting on a pretty cool driveway.

Greg can tell us more. He knows the current owner and probably the details.

For the most part you nailed it. That and SC 90-0001 did get most of the press back then. The current owner is an avid Saleen owner and has had many rare Saleens. Not to mention a good guy who enjoys the shows and hanging out with everyone.

I remember watching the Tonight Show when Tim Allen drag raced Jay Leno. I didn't know that was the same car. What kind of cage is in the car? I would love to see some more photos of the car. Thanks guys for the history lesson on that car. I have seen some pics of it before and was curious about it.
