Default Help: Throttle body issues - 2008 S302 Extreme

A friend in Western Australia had his '08 Extreme serviced last week, during the service they removed and cleaned the throttle body.
On the way home the car lost power and went into limp mode, he stopped the car restarted and drove back to dealer it did not show any warning lights, the service shop changed the TPS but it happened again 5 times.
The codes showing are P2104 and P0122

Can anyone help?

The p0122 makes me think that the throttle position sensor was not plugged back in fully or at all.

Thanks for posting my problem on here Tony. I've been looking at the car today, I've cleaned the maf sensor and I've checked and cleaned the connections to the tps and to the tac. I went for a drive and pulled 3 codes p2111, p2112 and p2104. All these codes seem to point to the throttle actuator control. Apparently the return spring has been checked, are there any other checks I can do to the tac or would I have to buy a new throttle body complete? The car has only done about 12000 kms. Are there any checks that can be done to the pcm? Any ideas where I can go from here? Thanks!

I've checked the tps voltages and they are ok. I've just pulled the plug on the throttle motor and took a resistance reading of .4 ohms, this seems low, does anybody know what the resistance should measure or does it matter? I'm leaning more to buying a new throttle body, is it just a standard 55mm ford performance throttle body that I need for replacement?

Just for everybody's info, fitted a new throttle actuator control motor and the issue is fixed!

Glad to hear you got it fixed. Coincidentally I just got these codes a couple weeks ago and forgot about this thread. I also replaced my throttle control motor and had to replace the TPS connector to fix it.

I remember my Ford Racing Throttle Body had a warning sticker saying not to cycle the butterflies while the electrical is plugged in or on as it might break the actuator control module.
