Default Q: Recaro leather seat care?

What's the best thing to use on recaro seats, or any similar leather. I have a 2002 Extreme and want to keep the seats in these best shape since they are rare seats.

CarPro Cquartz Fabric and Leather Coating. Not only does it leave your leather or fabric completely breathable, but it also keeps it UV protected and hydrophobic. Something just conditioning doesn't do. Most leathers these days are clear coated so basic conditioning does little to nothing.

Thanks Boostin, you always have good information on detailing. Is your leather on you 06 charcoal also. The seats on the car have some wear on them but suprisingly well kept over the years. Im just continuing the trend. I know how rare the 2002 extreme Recaro seats are.

Mothers LeatherTech Moisture Infusion Gel Cream is different from traditional conditioners -- it provides a protective layer that locks-in moisture and prevents from staining... and you can buy it at Pep Boys, AutoZone or Amazon.

I used the Mothers LeatherTech cleaner and gel you sent me Jim and after I finished every time I touched my leather it would leave white spots behind from my hands. I don't know if it is because the leather is so black or if it is leaving a residue on top of the leather because it is a clear coated and preventing it to seep in.

Our 2001 has the Recaro seats and we have not experienced that at all.

LeatherTech is not greasy at all -- one reason I like it.

Another good one that leaves the leather silky (if that's what you are looking for) and still looks dressed and not greasy is Ultima Interior guard plus. It's not as pricey as the Cquartz leather coating, but will give you the look you might be looking for.

This is after I detailed the interior yesterday. The seats are still in great condition so you cant tell much difference from the before. Although I will say that the seats look a little more conditioned than before, not as dry. The Mothers cleaner and conditioner didn't leave the seats greasy at all. Thanks Guys

Looks great bud! Glad to hear you are happy with your seats. Hopefully they will stay like that for a while.
