I see you are in Canada....you must have purchased the "super extreme" bumper # SE01
congrats! |

Yup! That is the one...
Been looking for a while for an Extreme. I have a 2007 GT with a Saleen Supercharger with 450RWHP and after pricing an engine stroked to ~302 + ported heads +++ figured that I might as well have the "real thing".... and it is already registered in Canada to boot! |

Congratulations! She looks like a great car. Out of interest, are you going to leave the bumper number as SE01, or return it to 05? Also interested to hear how the engine works out for you - I'm still "tinkering" with my 08 S302E, currently only hitting 500RWHP. I'd love to compare notes with yours, and see what Techco did differently to Saleen...
Chris. |

My understanding is that it was modified by Saleen Inc back in 2007 while Steve was still there as per the letter signed by Steve. If it is right then I will keep the current SE01. I understand the relationship between the previous owner and Steve, so I hope I bought what I "think" I bought...

Welcome to the forums Stephane and thank you for registering!
That's a neat car you purchased, as you can tell by the multiple comments. Enjoy! If you would like to sport a club window decal on your new ride, contact Jim for the details. (shameless sale) Have fun and the Saleen community is glad to have another convert! Drive safe, lookout for moose. |

Looks to me that the 500 hp conv. has a 10 lb boost gage, it may be a 302 but I bet they put the truck S/C pulley on it, which is 3.48, making 10lbs of boost. It does not have the carbon fiber splitters or extreme badging shows supercharged.
The other im sure is making in the 15 to 16 lbs of boost and is a extreme. Just my observations. Nice to see you get your dream Saleen, glad you got it and hope to see you out there in the world someday. Scott

Ok, this is my first officially "modified" car, my insurance company refuses to insure it because it has been modified by someone else than Ford. Can anyone who were successful in insuring their Extreme in Canada tell me with which company they deal with? Anyone with a S302E by any chance?
Thank you |

There was quite some discussion about this over on a KR board. I have been insured by all three that I mentioned, and I currently have the Delp coverage, as it offered extremely competitive pricing, plus some valuable extras (for example, repair-value-reduction coverage, and up to 150% appreciation coverage), and was slightly less restrictive in their terms than Heacock. Now these are "collector" policies, and still carry heavy restrictions - usage must be "consitent with a collector vehicle", i.e. not a daily driver. That being said, I have never had to make a claim - and that is of course the proof of a good insurance company. However, I have also never heard any complaints about any of those three companies... DISCLAIMER: I have no association with any of the companies mentioned, I am merely a customer... Chris. |

I insured mine as a GT Mustang with (3) 10,000 dollar riders on it. That way the GT mustang decreases the 30,000 does not and it was cheaper then insuring as a Saleen 2005 model. Check into it, look into some car show boards in Canada and see what they use, also the chamber of commerce in your area, may have some info. on highend car insurance.
