285/35/18 at all 4 corners
Mounted on 18x9 original Saleen wheels. I've always preferred the same size tire all around. I think they fit well on the 9 inch wheel.

Looks good.
I just went with Toyo 265 up front (r888r), they were wider than my Continentals. |

May having rubbing with 285 in front. I have 275 and it to rub on 18x9 before I replaced the saggy original springs and struts, with new. Now I am good, but wish I would have went 265, anything more is overkill. Extra weight and the steering wheel likes to fight me because of all the traction.
Plus 285 is going to make the tire bubble over the rim on an 18x9. It will save your wheels from the curb rash but kill handling with such a soft sidewall just imo.

I've had none of the issues you mentioned. Handling is crisp, no tire bulge. no heavy steer. 275's are routinely mounted on 9 inch wheels. Just 1 size larger won't make make much difference imo.

I guess I just had super fat 275's. Tire brands all are a little different from each other.
But regardless, your car looks great! I admit, there is something nice about being able to rotate tires.
