Think about it... Has anyone ever really seen one? Granted, they did their little "unveiling" at the night club... and that's fine, for a martini. Since no one is interested in a 100k Martini, and you can't drive it, I am skeptical to say the least. Why unveil a car in a place where it can't be driven? Usually SS is chomping at the bit to show off his stuff... On the track...

Out of all the places SS could have unveiled this car, El Toro, Willow Springs, Fontana, CAMSW, why pick a night club. Has anyone seen this thing actually drive? More importantly, has anyone seen this thing drive with any real power, like say, 100k worth? All I know is that someone made a body kit for a Challenger, slapped some purple paint on it, and had a party for friends and family around it.

So, when I read "And it doesn't even really exist..." my feelings were "Details. Details. Details"... as in like... "small detail, no cars exist."

Anyway, I'm not chomping at the bit for SMS to start full-blown production on anything yet. We still have a terrible economy, fighting a new war on communism, with illiterate kids graduating every year.

Regardless, SS can take his time on the new venture. Though... some say things are moving to speed with these next generation, scientific, performance cars.

Hmmm. I never really thought over the Night Club press event. I remember when it happened I liked the idea. It was different. Youthful. Hip. I'm not a "shiny shirt night club guy," but I wasn't really bothered by it. Would have been fun to attended. (Minus - shiny shirt.)

Those are the "clouds" from 76 Fairbanks and were acquired in the "redundancy auction" held last year before Fairbanks closed down. Since nobody else bid, Hancock Park reeled-in a whopping 10 bucks on that baby.

That photo would have been taken at the new SMS facility (not at 76 Fairbanks).

See auction photo below for how it looked during the shutdown...

I was simply implying that the familiarity I was refering to was because they used to be at 76 Fairbanks, not that the picture was actually taken there. I have been to the old Saleen factory numerous times (including at the auction you are refering to) and it was simply an observation that they were in fact the same panels...

No one got it, everyone wanted to "school" me...

No I can't get you on TV -- at least not until next season, because they're done shooting this season. I'll e-mail you back about the other thing.

I looked at this car on ebay and noticed that they never took a picture of the engine. Unless I am blind or some thing......
