Value
I would imagine it would only drop value to a certain buyer, to some it would raise the value to have a new motor. And the 347 will never change the fact that it is a real Saleen. I'm also getting a new motor, 331 Stoker from DND.

how many
OK, they made 1 T-top in 87 and it was a RED hatch back.

Collection cars are always hard to value. But I got mine estimated when I got my car loan. The bank would only loan me the wholesale value. My car only having 37000 miles on it was estimated between $6700 - $12000.

I wouldn't worry about it, i did the same thing and dropped a 347 in my saleen. I did keep the original block though, in case i ever did sell it, which would be never! LOL, so my advise to you would be to keep the original block, unless you cracked it. You can always rebuild it if your a collector. Just my .02
