Make your plans today! We've got great rates at the host hotel, so it's a very inexpensive weekend!

Hope to see you all there!

Since I get better rates through my work I'm booked at the Marriott's down the street. I am looking forward to being there and meeting the Saleen family.

Default SMS Car show

This kind of gets under my skin but what can you do? I have already registered for the Queen Mary, Mustang, Car Show @ Long Beach the same weekend. Conflicts everywhere. It is only a hop, skip and jump away but...my Copper State Mustang club sort of pointed at the Queen Mary event to big "A" Big Event of the year. Oh well, I will be in the area.

or

Maybe I can have the best of both worlds and just choose which group I want to eat dinner with Friday night?

We are going to be there also! Really looking forward to an awesome visit with almost everyone!
Why not come to the real Saleen show on Saturday and skip the "faleen" show on Sunday? After last years incident we will never attend another QM show in Long Beach.
Just don't be amazed if your Saleen class gets skipped and then the only two cars in the class both get first place regardless of the vote tally. Come to SMS and have a great time with folks who really share your interest and passion for Saleen vehicles.

Called them and made my reservations. The hotel is stating $75 a night, not $70. Anyone else get the $70 rate?

Don't do it (after the bachelor party; not the batchelor party itself). I would move the bachelor party one week and go to the Saleen event; reschedule the wedding indefinatley!

Its kind of hard to tell 3-4 weeks ahead of a show. Most registrations come in the last two weeks before a show. I think it will be a good turn out this year because the registration forms came out much earlier!

Thanks for the response, i'm coming from Arizona so I really want to see what this is all about. This is the first year that i'm able to go, and i'm planning on taking my car but i'm not sure if I have to register in order to attend. I don't really want my car judged because not up to show car material yet. Do I need to register just to attend? I know that the flyer states that I can register and not have my car judge, but does that do me any good?

I think it would be best to register if you want a space reserved for you in the show area. This puts your car close to you and gives you a place to sit. You can always put your registration number in the trunk and not worry about the voting. If you just want to come and hang out, there is a place to park nearby. Where in Arizona are you coming from?

I will be driving in from Yuma Arizona, I think i'm going to go ahead and register and just exclude my car from judging. Are you close to Corona or are you driving from further away as well?

We are coming from the Phoenix area. The show is a great time! Lots of good folks and really nice cars. We trailer to the hotel and then drive over in the morning.

It will be cheaper as the hotel rates have dropped... but I think I dropped like 300 bucks last trip... not including gas there and back...lol That included go to the Saleen dinner and a club dinner.

Show registration, $70/night at Ayres suites, meals.

Club dinner Saturday night is inexpensive if you want to make it inexpensive and likely less than $20.

Friday night is usually independent as is Sunday morning breakfast though a small group of us usually go out for a solid meal.

Biggest cost will be gas and hotel.

Have a safe trip everyone!

We're looking at a great show!

Everyone have a safe trip!

You can register until noon on Friday by PayPal, or call SMS after that to make sure we know you're coming and can fit you in the class. You can also register day of show. Being judged is optional, so don't be afraid of bringing your daily driver.

We'll have SOEC and SMS Superclub gear, SMS will have gear and we've got some nice raffle prizes from Mothers Polishes-Waxes-Cleaners.

And for the goody bags we've got some nice Mothers stuff, also!

Friday evening if you want to have a casual dinner with Saleen friends, stop by SMS at about 6:00 and caravan to dinner.

For the SOEC member dinner Saturday, plan to meet at SMS at 5:00 p.m., but also be sure to sign the list at the SMS front desk so we have a head count.

Sunday morning we'll meet at Ayres convention center foyer at 9:00 a.m. for a brief cruise to breakfast together before everyone heads back home.

The black 90 or 91 SC was beautiful. That is my dream car; it made the 100+ miles drive worth it.

I was admiring the car but did not want to stand too close, did not want to suck up all the new car smell that was left on it = )

Default Lost during SMS show

Had a great time at SMS until I realized I lost my car key and fob. If anyone found it and forgot to mention it to the staff of SMS, please pm me so I can get it back. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks to all for hosting a nice little show!

I believe he said it was a 91 SC. He still has the stock wheels as well. He brought 11 cars to that show, to include that S7!

Just got home. I had a great time. Thanks so much to the Saleen family for hosting this wonderful event and a special thanks to Jim for the warm welcome to the club. The day was surreal for me.
