Default Body kit rivet question? - And poll

Ok, so im painting 89#55 right now and notice the hideous screws/rivets that are on the cars bumper now. Here is my rear bumper with fn phillipshead screws in it.

I've checked the other saleens and it looks like at least rivets came stock.

So my paint guy is asking me if I want to keep them or if I want them filled up. I called up Saleen and they said not all years have the rivets but 89 models did.

So should I keep the rivets or plug them up like this one?

Cool

They are there for a reason, the only thing that keeps it on the car was the double stick tape, a lot of them were flying off the cars at speed, so Saleen added the screws to keep them on the car, I'm pretty sure it started in 89, I would keep them if i was you as they are factory correct!

They are factory on some 88's and 89-93's and you'll notice that the placement changed as the years went on. And my white 89 above uses phillips screws. Not sure what cars got the rivets.
