Default Repair Question: 1989 Pioneer KEH-8050

I was wondering if anyone in California has had any luck with any shops rebuilding their doa pioneer radios and eq's? Awhile back I bought a full service manual off ebay in hopes of finding a reapair shop I trust to get my equipment running again. It's been sitting for awhile but would now like to press on and get it fixed. Any suggestions?

Yater - hopefully someone knows a good place to get the old pioneers fixed. Mine was working but static'd whenever the car hit a bump, then one day nothing would power on, all fuses ok, probed the back and had constant and switched power and good ground so can only be the deck/'m not interesed in a modern deck and would be willing to pay to fix the old pioneer. By the way, have you had #55 long, a few weeks ago I thought I saw a few fox saleens on sac craigslist.

Good luck I have tried around the DC area to find some too. Fourm member Coupey was working on this too, not sure if he was able to find a repair center.

Cool

Give these places a jingle, I know they have parts, and might be able to tell you of a place that does repais as well.

Hope this helps!

I have a pretty sweet stereo system in it now, but having a complete car will one day make it more valueable at least on a sentimental level. The only piece that im missing is the shifter knob, but i hear that hard to find too. There used to be a mom and pop stereo shop out in old town Roseville, i'll see if the guy there can repair and get back to you. I just bought #55 about 3 months back, but there have been a bunch of clones everywhere but the real ones do rarely come up. I've seen most of them up in Oregon and Washington for whatever reason.

Default Possible Pioneer & Kenwood Repair Shop

in reading the forum, it appears more than just a few Saleen owners have issues with their original stereo units. I've been searching for a repair shop to also fix my Pioneer DEH-55 CD unit. I will be calling a variety of shops located in Ca. Should I find the right one, I'll be sure to share all the information with owners on this forum. Good luck to all of us.
