Default Q: Aftermarket springs?

Any of you guys out there swap your saleen springs for aftermarket like bmr or what not? I know the saleen springs are good but i was maybe thinking about going with the bmr drag race springs for better weight transfer on launches. Springs are a 1.5 drop and front spring rate is 150 lb/in rear is 160 lb/in. Just worried about scrapping everywhere and the car riding like crap. Car is a weekend driver that will be seeing a good amount of 1/4 track time rather than turns. Any input would be greatly appreciated

Putting "drag" style springs on will make things quite interesting on the street. Drag racing is the kind of sport that really requires the car to kinda be dedicated to that sport to be competitive, but isnt super friendly on the street. Now many "drag" racers out there will disagree with me simply because they have gotten used to the nuisances but truth is there isnt much good crossover. If your worried about performing, consider a good adjustable set of lower control arms, LCA relocation brackets, and a torque arm. Both are street and strip friendly and will certainly lower the times.

A few folks are running Eibachs. Sportlines will get rid of the tire gap, but you will need to watch out for speed bumps and curbs. Unless you want to scrape.

Keep in mind that the Saleen body kit lowers the ground clearance a lot. So lowering the car you will scrape everywhere. I had coilovers and the Saleen splitter and basically dragged scrapped on every driveway steep or not.

Aren't our cars already a little lower than a stock GT? Would putting Eibachs springs on do anything? I always wanted mine a little lower bit didn't think springs would do much, maybe I'm wrong on this.
