Convertible top replacement

Hi everyone,

My convertible 88 Saleen has a hole in the vinyl top right where it folds when it goes up and down. I've got to get it fixed.
Should I replace the top with an original vinyl top or go with a cloth top?
The car is black with a black top.
Also, shouldn't I get a new rear window at the same time? There is nothing wrong with the current one, just think it would be better to go new all the way.

I have a black 2003 T-Bird with a black cloth top and it looks sharp, but I'm wondering about the Saleen if I should stay original. Will the car retain a higher value with a vinyl top or change it to a cloth top?

After 20 years I've been thinking about replacing my top as well. I'm going to go with the Hartz replacement - vinyl.

I did see a really neat bright white top on one of our cars instead of the original tone (cream). I'm thinking about the white top to sharpen it up. I'm also going to reinstall my original glass.
