Default Went to the track last night

Got a new best for this car of 12.47 @ 112 1.86 60' I added some MT DR's and a W/B. What I noticed was I lost 3 mph. Last time out on street tires I was trapping 115. Did I lose MPH because the car wasnt spinning? The W/B also showed my AFR at 10.9 @ WOT. Seems too rich. That was with abot 6 gallons of 91 and 4.5 gallons of 110.

What's a the difference between a w/b and a regular a/f meter? other than $200?

Great times. I think with your set up you should be almost into the 11's. I have a friend here with very similar set-up and he is running 12.1.

regular a/f meter gives an approximate reading of the a/f ratio. A w/b gives the actual reading, so accurate in fact it can be used to tune the car with.

I should pick up a tenth or two with a slightly leaner tune. I need to be about 12.0 or so. 10.9 is quite fat.

Good time!!

Maybe it was just the weather/temp/humidity/engine temp difference. Kills these cars if all is not just right.

The stock Saleen Ultimate Air kit with their huge mass air works great on my car.

Here is a pic of my setup...comes with a 95mm mass air meter too. Paired with 60 lb injectors..stock throttlebody still. It is what came on the Sterling cars I think.

is that a mosaleen idler I see on your car? silver tensioner on the driver side? Also, what is the silver box on the pass side of the firewall near the battery?

I do have a Roush Tensioner on my car..but cant see that in the pic....you can see the alternator that is smaller than stock. My stock one died and we used one out of some new Ford Ranger Truck that has more amps and is smaller also.

The box on the firewall is an overflow catch can for the automatic transmission. When you up the pressure in the lines in the tune for the firmer shifts in these cars, the stock overflow tube just puts it all over the ground. My setup saves the fluid and it drains back in the trans. Its very important to keep the auto trans full of fluid in these modded cars.

You were right, 95mm housing. The electronics in the housing are whats the big difference over stock. They will support up to 800 RWHP!! Plus the tuning and driveability with the ultimate air kit is awesome

I just keep calling until someone answers the phone. I cant remember what I paid for my JDM tune but I think it was just over $100.
I have both Brenspeed and JDM tunes, race and street and I can tell you I ran the same number at the track on both, the same night

Are any, ANY, of the cars out of JDM running a stock Saleen, not Ultimate or Extreme, AIRBOX and making decent power? My car has had a 3.2 pulley on it with a JDM tune for awhile and the power it is making is quite disappointing, to say the least
