Q: 1994-95 S351 chassis info?
I'm looking at some S351 specs, and recalled they were built out of V6 chassis to start with. Some were built from GT chassis as well. Some years ago, I looked at buying one, and it was a six cylinder conversion. I ended up buying a brand new 04 cobra instead.
Is the GT chassis car a better car since the wiring wasn't changed over from a six cylinder model? I hear stuff about these cars being ill-mannered and some having driveability issues, but don't know firsthand. Can anybody shed some light on the subject? |

Most of the 1994 S351s were V6 Mustangs.
(If you own a Chrome Yellow 1994 S351, than it was a GT since yellow was a GT only color. Five GT chassis cars were converted in 1994, four were yellow one was black.) Most of the 1995 S351s were Mustang GTs. (There are believed to be eight 1995 S351 models using a V6 chassis, of those five were 1996 Ford Mustangs converted to 1995 S351 models. The other 3 just happen to be 1995 V6 models converted from a sea of GTs.) |

The wiring wasn't an issue for the 94-95 cars.

No wiring issues on our 95-S351. As far as ill mannered, ours has a cam change. Was told the cam upgrade was done by Saleen but have no evidence. For a fuel injected car, you can hear this thing cam. It sounds awesome at idle. We have made no modifications to the car. Not really sure that I would call it ill mannered.
