Hi and welcome to The Saleen Forums @ SOEC.org!

I take you will be looking at a serialized 1994 Saleen S351 Mustang? Not a V6 Sport by Steve Saleen.

In 1994, Saleen Performance produced about 50 S351 Mustangs. Of those, about 14 were convertibles.

Condition of the vehicle and Saleen equipment will help dictate the price.

For an average vehicle, without history and base content... low-mid teens.

Please contact Greg Wackett about pricing, he follows trends and is aware of non-public sales for comparison.

It really depends on options and condition as Dave said. With the miles and assuming not a lot of options mid teens would be top of the market. If it has speedster option, magnesiium wheels, light bar, guage pod, etc. this will add to the value. If it is a Sport, I believe they are not serialized and hard to authenticate without documents. The value of these cars is also less than a s351 due to this and desirability.

I know it has the vortec supercharger and the gauge cluster in the center of the dash. I don't know what the serial number is but I will get it tomorrow when I go look at the car. What else should I look for.

As previously stated, options will make a big difference. Would love to see 112k miles on a factory supercharged car, would be cool. Leather, Alcon/Saleen Brakes, Magnesium wheels, 10 inch rear wheel, light bar, speedster top are all things to look for. Condition of wheels is another thing as replacements are not readily available but can be had used. Take some pics. Upper intake should be cut and welded back together with a 1 inch or so spacer etc. PM me or post the photo's! Good Luck.

A quick scan of the Saleen Registry lists... 94-0004, 94-0031, 94-0035 as the factory supercharged convertibles. Though some vehicles had a way of changing.

Best wishes on your escapade!

Jk, I completely agree with what everyone else said and the one thing that you need to do before buying a 351 car is research, research, etc. It would be very easy to get in deep real quick with one of these cars as mentioned Alot of the Saleen specific stuff is either expensive, hard to find,or both.Like everyone else said that is several miles on a supercharged car so you can expect to spend some money on it.I wish you luck just be smart when buying and you will be fine.

You never know, always try to look when you can. I have bought a few that nobody else thought were real.
