Anybody had a problem with the "Hot Rod" type butterfly valves on the exhaust rusting up and preventing the valves from opening?

Martyn,

Dont know how you are going to sort the exhaust out with the dealer but Magnaflow now have a distribution and head office in Birmingham. maybe they can help out with an upgrade if Saleen now use their stuff?

Justa thought. Hope you get it sorted.

06 Saleens come with Magnaflow stainless exhaust.
I live in Florida, and know about 4 people who had problems with exhaust flanges when opened at full throttle, some would not close some were loose and noisey. If you check with your dealer where you bought your car there should be no problem. Thats why 06s come with new exhaust no flanges daul openings. call saleen they will exchange under warranty.
Good luck

Thanks for all your suggestions.
I have now been in touch with the dealer in New York where we bought the car and he is checking the issue with his Saleen rep.
I will keep you informed of progress

Cheers
