Last Year we had about 12-15 Saleens show up - let's try to beat that record this year. This is 1 of 2 Big Mainly Stang Based shows in Austin, TX. Any of you guys from the Cars and Coffee Shows want to get in on this ?! My Registration is already in the mail !!! :biggrin:

Released by the Mustang Club of Austin:

Saturday March 6th we will be joining with the Round Rock Express and the Dell Diamond for the 2010 edition of our Spring Car Show. As in the pasthis show is open to all makes and models of cars and trucks. This will be an open show, with awards given to the top 12 vehicles based on the votes cast by fellow participants. Entry fee is $15 and the registration form is available on the MOCA website. As in our previous Spring shows, the Dell Diamond will be open and the Round Rock Express will be hosting an open house with lots of family friendly activities to promote the upcoming 2010 baseball season. Concessions, rest rooms, and the Rail Yard store will be open throughout the day.

Anyways lets do what Vince, AKA OLe' Coot recomended !!! Make a weekend event out of this !! Saturday - Show and Cookout afterwards. A Sweet Cruise on Sunday and Lunch!! Kinda of like the reverse of the San Antonio Event, but this time after the Cruise we can head home and not have to wait for 5 million trophies to be handed out before we leave (I might mention that it was the 1st time I did not get one - lol and ugh !!) :biggrin:

Over all I think the brand was well represented. There were a couple of guys who left early but at the end of the show we were left with 10 Saleens. In attendance there were 2 Fox bodies, 2 SN-95's, 1 New Edge, 4 S197's and 1 S331. The only thing missing was a nice four-eyed fox!

He is in a control group (discounted price) and has to be there.

Ok - This show is coming up fast, the Mustang Club Of Austin show in Austin (Round Rock) at the Dell Diamond baseball park is March 6th. We have Saleens coming from Dallas, Houston, San Antonio as well as Austin. Vince (Ole Coote) will be hosting us at his house for a club get together after the show and we will be enjoying some fajitas - we will splitting the cost for the food.

Please invite your Saleen owning friends - even if they aren't members. We want to have more Saleens than last year when we had 11.

For all of the Houston Saleens - Joe in his Red 94' S351 will be leading a cruise from Houston to the show - Here is the info so far on that:

Looks like we're going to have an even greater turnout than last year with 15 or so already on the roster.

Let's plan on DEPARTING from the Chevron Speedy Stop at 1960 and 290 at 7am on Saturday. I've included my cellphone number below for coordination purposes. Also, here's a link to a map of the meeting spot:

I spent all day yesterday fixing the drifting problem on the car so this trip should be much more enjoyable. I bought a replacement steering rack for the car but it turned out to be a problem with the steering shaft itself. On the SN95s there's a rubber piece that absorbs some of the vibration where the two-piece steering shaft comes together (at the collapsible part). Because of the tight fit with the 351s headers, that piece had been pushed up the shaft and wasn't doing it's job. This allowed for a 5 to 10 degree slop, which made driving it a series of constant corrections. I came up with another fix that was 3 cotter pins slid into the space between the two shafts. This allows it to still collapse, and now the thing steers like a dream.

Im a little concerned about the weather, I had recieved an email about it possibly being rained out, looks like the forcast has changed and now shows fair weather. I'm on a pretty tight schedule trying to decide if we are headed for Austin or Colorado, obviously if the weather is good we will come for the show and cruise but I've got to make a decision by tomorrow on the colorado trip. What is everyone else hearing and or seeing?????
