Is is common to have a rather large gap between the front bumper and the fenders? My understanding is that the Saleen fronts are not riveted to the fender brackets, rather they just "rest" on top of them.

Do you guys have this issue? Or are your bumpers pretty much flush?

IN this pic, the very corner of the bumper curves "inward" into the fenderwell. I can't seem to get it to fit flush at all above the fender mounting bracket.

Suggestions?

The wheel well screws should pull that tight and hold it there?

Now you have made me curious.
I will try to take some pic's and see how they are fastened tomorrow.

Yup, the wheel well screws should do it...

I was just washing mine 2day and I noticed it's the same way. Just the passenger side though. I've had it since '96, seems "original" to me LOL

Mine is the same way only on the p/s I just live with it. I'm the only one that notices it anyway. I have never had a person point it out to me yet, even at car shows…….At least now I know how to fix it.

Should I ADD a gap, to fit in? J/K!

I know, it needs a bath and waxing. Just got back from a 150+ mile cruise with the Reno Mustang Club.
(They drive VERY Slow! Way BELOW the speed limit!!! I think my plugs are fouled now. :frown:)
