need a harley mesaurement

harley guys...can one of you provide me with the diameter of your waterpump pulley?

sman113 09-28-2009 11:29 AM

....

Edit: I thought I had read that you needed the PS pump pulley... Sorry. I went out and looked again and I'll have to find some string b/c of the clutch fan. FWIW I measured about 5 7/8" for the PS pulley.

That measurement is fine.

For reference, some S331s came with a 5" pulley.

Where is the Water pump pulley located ? lol.

GunzNSkoal...

Gunz....its the pulley directly below the SC pulley.

GunzNSkoal 09-30-2009 05:18 PM

do I measure the pulley inside the grooves or just the outter part?

I think you have the wrong pulley. The waterpump pulley doesnt have any grooves.

See picture:

The top pulley with the belt on it with writing is the SC pulley.
The pulley below that with the little rusty snout, thats the waterpump pulley
The really rusty pulley is the crank pulley/balancer
The pulley with the "C" on it is an idler
Directly below that, the pulley attached to the arm is the tensioner pulley
Down and to the left of that is the AC pulley
The pulley to the far right in the pic, right above the oil filter is another idler
Above the idler mentioned above is another Idler (not pictured)
The pulley to the far far right is the power steering pulley (not pictured)

You dont have Efans. You have a mechanical fan. Nothing wrong with that.

I no longer need a measurement.
