NOOOOOOO!!!!!
That's really disappointing Robert!

Well, just throw the keys to the Extreme to your son and send him over

joesgt281 04-02-2012 12:41 AM

Many of you are familiar with Robert's Barricade tribute car from San Antonio. In fact Robert brought his Barri to the 2011 Gullo show. Unfortunately due to work commitments, we're not going to get to have Robert join us this year with either of his fine Saleens.
However I'm happy to let everyone know that the #1 of 3 Barricade cars built for the movie Transformers will be joining us for the Gullo show. The owner is a Houston-area resident and he's excited to bring his car out to share with us. He tells me that the #1 car is the only Mustang that was built by Saleen. The other 2 are Mustangs with Saleen body kits and V6 engines. The #1 car is the S281 Saleen Extreme package with the V8 engine.
Movie scenes involving this car are as follows.
SCENE#1: The first appearance of Barricade at the airport
SCENE#2: The warehouse chase scene involving the old Camaro
SCENE#3: The night chase scene in factory
SCENE#4: The final highway chase scene with all the vehicles together
One more reason to come out for this exciting event!
Check out this album for pics of this cool car:

Dang, just when I got excited that Robert's absence would allow my car to get some love...this happens!

Should be a good show, I hope this guy doesn't drive off and leave a chair...

This is our 3rd annual event and it's grown from good to great, and this year we hope that it will be the best ever!
The focal point is the Gullo Ford All-Ford Car Show where Saleens and Saleen fans have come in from all over Texas, and beyond.
Besides the terrific rides of our members, our favorite Saleen collector from Alvin is bringing some of his beautiful cars again.
And for the first time joining us will be the #1 of 3 Barricade Saleens used in the making of the Transformers movie.
Should be a really exciting show!
Here's the low-down for the weekend:

Sunday Morning: Piney-woods Cruise. Tentatively meet at 9 am at a place to be determined. More details on this in the next couple of days. There will be an opportunity for lunch before we tour the museum.

Sunday Afternoon: Gullo Private Collection Tour at 1pm. You will be amazed at what you see on this tour! It has to be one of the most interesting collections in existence. Beyond the cars, it's really a museum of Americana. Please bring $10/person which goes directly to support the Gullo Christmas for Children Charity.
For out-of-towners, there are many hotels in the area to choose from. Gary recommends the Holiday Inn Express in Spring as being most convenient to all of our activities. Here's a link to more info:

So that about wraps it up. Hope you can come out and join us for what looks to be beautiful weather, surrounded by beautiful cars!

Please let me know if you plan to make it.

Saleen Friends,
I’ve asked Chlee Green of the Northside Mustangs Club to put together a cruise route and schedule for Sunday and here’s the details she’s come up with:

Mr. Tony Gullo has opened up his private car museum to us once again. This is an invitation only event for our club and the Saleen club. If you want to bring a guest you can. We are asking for a donation of $10.00 be given to help support the Christmas for Kids charity. If you've never been, just ask someone that has. It's an amazing experience and one you won't want to miss. We will meet in the parking lot of Kroger's located at 220 S loop 336 W, Conroe , TX 77304 , at 10am leaving promptly at 10:15. We will then have an hour cruise to end at Quiznos located at 6875 FM 1488 # 400, Magnolia, TX. While there, we'll have a short car meet and grab a quick bite to eat. We then plan to leave there at 1pm and cruise together to arrive at the museum by 1:30. If you do not want to participate in the morning cruise and just want to meet us at Quiznos, we plan to be there between 11:30 and 11:45.

joesgt281 04-12-2012 05:37 PM

As of Thursday afternoon we have 19 folks that are participating in some or all of the weekends activities....WOOT!
It's not too late, and you can participate in as many, or as few events as you'd like. Cmon out and join in the fun!

Meikol02 04-13-2012 10:15 AM

Looking forward to a good time and that tour I heard so much about last year!

joesgt281 04-18-2012 01:08 AM

Ok finally got my own pics uploaded and all the shots of my feet cleared out.
You'll notice that there's no pics from inside the museum, and that was at Mr. Gullo's request that none be posted on the internet.
So if you want to see his fabulous S7, and the rest of his collection, you'll just have to come next year.

BIG thanks to everyone that came out, especially Gary & Betsy for opening up their home for us.
At last count I think we had 19 in attendance at the show.
