Q: Closest Replica Extreme Splitter & Diffuser?

Hello friends! Hope everyone is safe and doing ok in these tough times. I'm looking for info on what aftermarket company has the closest to factory replica front splitter and rear diffuser. I have searched the forums but looking for actual input from anyone with an aftermarket one. Im leaning towards the Sigala Designs front and rear as the best I can tell it looks very close from pictures. I personally don't like the look of the support rods I've seen on some of the other brands available. Something just looks off about it. Any tips/pics/info would be great! Also curious about mounting hardware as I don't think they come with any.. Thank you all and I appreciate this great forum!

These where copy from the Saleen parts so they’re close. I believe you came still get the Saleen rear diffuser. Here’s the thread for the HCM version

Thank you for the reply! Looks like what I'll probably end up going with. They look like good quality and a way better price then the original pieces. I just wanted something very close to that factory look. Much appreciated man!

Have you seen the plastic re-pops?

Hey Barricade, I don't believe I've seen them. I've only come across the carbon fiber ones from Sigala or the APR one... where would I find them? Thank you!

I went ahead and purchased the Sigala/HCM front splitter and rear diffuser. Ill post an update once I get them and have them on the car if anyone is interested. Thank you!

The plastic / composite versions that fit Saleen 'S-series' bodywork were offered by an enthusiast at some point from 10-15 years ago. I'm pretty sure the plastic ones are nolonger in production.

Thank you Dave. I did a lot of searching and was unable to locate anything like that. I think I'll like the carbon fiber stuff anyway! Now I just need to figure out the hardware situation!

Some of the previous replica Saleen Extreme aero kits used the OE Saleen hardware/installation kit. Depending on what you receive, you may have to duplicate the Saleen design.

Review these manuals:

10-8002-C14092B - S-Series Front Fascia Splitter Kit (Years 2005 to 2009)
10-8002-C14852A - S-Series Rear Diffuser Kit (Years 2005 to 2009)

Those were a great help thank you. I know I can get the stuff for the front at the hardware store however it looks like the rear hardware is a lot more complicated and of course the HCM diffuser doesn't supply hardware. Guess I blew it on that. Looks like most other kits do supply it. Hopefully I can find a kit for sale somewhere as it looks like a pain to try and fabricate the mounting brackets etc.. thanks for your help!

Thank you! I already placed an order with Sigala so at this point I'm just trying to find a rear hardware kit. If all else fails im sure with time ill be able to make something work.

it might be worth a try to google or somehow locate dave, if he had some more hardware ?? I do remember the hardware that was supplied with the rear diffuser was a perfect way to attach the piece and it was quite an undertaking to attach and locate and keep that thing that way? it is right on the mufflers and pipes

We designed a bracket kit for the rear diffuser, but not enough sales to justify making it into a production piece. Let me just say its a pain in the **** part to make.

Hey Jason, thanks for the reply. I believe we spoke via email recently about the situation. (I ordered a dipstick too) I know your super busy but I would gladly pay for a hardware kit when and if you have time for it. Thanks!

Rear diffuser installation instructions

4 Attachment(s)
While back I installed a diffuser I bought for my 05 convt. This old instructions list of parts install info came with my diffuser. If someone wants to look at to get ideas for their own car/install, you are welcome to look at it. I did not create this or even suggest using on your own liability. But I will say, I did not have any problems with mine

I bought both from Sigala, carbon fibre splitter and rear diffuser, both OEM quality parts, for a fraction of the cost. I highly recommend from them.

Thank you! I also purchased both from sigala. Beautiful parts. Front splitter had no issue installing. Now working on rear brackets. Got a rear one made and now working on the other brackets. Kind of a pain I wish they supplied them thats my only complaint.

jtotheROC 03-19-2021 12:06 AM

Did you manage to get the rear brackets made? I have a Saleen diffuser I got off if Dave a couple of years ago and it's missing two of the brackets. He didn't have any left. The two that have multiple bends at the rear of the car.

If you have them fabbed let me know who did then so I can as well order a set.

Thanks

Hey did you ever get the diffuser installed? I recently bought the Sigala designs diffuser and need to figure out the hardware kit issue. Thanks in advance

Eddiecrown 03-18-2022 09:13 PM

Sorry to revive this 1-2 year old thread. I'm in the process of getting the sigala front splittee and rear diffuser and had the same concerns about mounting hardware. I noticed a couple of weeks ago the saleen website had the diffuser hardware for sale. I purchased it a couple days and it should be here tomorrow. I'll be purchasing the diffuser in a couple months. So heads up if yall are looking for the hardware.

Saleen206 05-01-2022 08:47 PM

I also ended up getting the Hardware kit from Saleen as I too saw it was available on their site again. Did take a month and a phone call to get it after purchasing it but I got it! Enjoy your new parts!

Just purchased carbon fiber front splitter and hardware direct from Saleen . . Spring was quick and efficient . . special order, hopefully on the car in less than a month . . sticking with OE for now
