Q: Saleen Series II Supercharger?

Hello all,

I've got a Saleen series II supercharger I'm trying to install on my 4.6L 2v explorer. I have pretty much the whole kit: heat exchanger, intercooler, manifold, alt relocation bracket, etc.

The intake manifold looks like it has a plate that blocks off and holds the intercooler in place. I don't have this plate, so I just cut it out of aluminum. I also don't have whatever fittings went with the intercooler.

So my questions:
  • Does anyone know what size and what kind of fittings come with the intercooler in the stock setup? I have to imagine they're not just barbed fittings, as I don't think the lines have clearance to make a 90* turn.
  • Does anyone have any pictures of what the plate looks like on the back of the intake manifold? I'm interested in how it seals around the fittings.

Any other general advice is welcome. Thanks!

Answering myself...
I found some AN fittings laying around and tried them out.
It's a -8AN.

It looks like the right solution will be a male -8AN to male -8AN to pass through the plate with a 19mm O ring, then a 90 degree barbed fitting.
