Really.....281sc supercharger known as the rock crusher for its noisy behavior... i had it totally rebuilt and it is still noisy. It runs perfect. What are the mechanics behind that sound??? I have to know. The rock crusher supercharger

The Saleen Series VI is based on the Lysholm 2300. Saleen designed a cast case for the Lysholm 2300 screws and gears.

I think the noise is magnified by the Saleen supercharger lid. When I installed the Saleen Supershaker the first thing I noticed was the coffee grinder sound was reduced.

The coffee grinder. Hee
The coffee grinder, rock crusher supercharger. 06 281sc. Well befor i had the supercharger refurbished it was noisy.. so..... then i found oil seeping from pully, so i had supercharger done 38k on car, they say these should be refurbished by 50k. So ok, $3,300. Looks nice, runs great, the noise is just a little hard to get used to. Idk. Ive only got 300 miles on this supercharger. Anyway its going in the shop with what ever stimulus check shows up for a look see and a warrenty. I love this car, its going to be my granddaughters one day so i want it perfect for her. I have cancer so...i have a 08 cobra for the grandson and the 06 Saleen for her to remember Popz by. Wish i could send a pic of this Saleen be because the rear lights are so cool, way better than stock. Its a panel but the lights look like the old 68 shelby lights but retro like. Super bad.

These superchargers have a noticeable "rotor clash" noise, but if it sounds like a rock crusher there is something seriously wrong. We are a shop that specializes in servicing Saleen Superchargers. We strongly urge anyone low on oil, any unusual noise, or at 4 years or 40k miles, its due for service.

Here is a link to our facebook page showing the carnage of what happens to these superchargers when not serviced on time and regularly.

Its amazing the damage that happens when they are not serviced on time.

Hmmm rotor clash....maybe not coffee grinder or rock crusher. The rotor clasher..... hmm ok, i like it, maybe yeah its just rotor clash. The car runs and drives very nice.
