"Unofficial" 2002-2004 Saleen Extreme Registry?
 

I was curious due to the limited amount of saleen extremes produced between 2002-2004. Is there a extreme registry? I think it would be pretty cool to see how many are left out there and document them.
Being a total of 74 produced, 42 coupes and 32 verts between 2002-2004.

Great idea. I haven't seen one but all it takes is one person willing to oversee it.

This has come up before but nothing has been done about it. I think an online registry is the way to go!

Here are some nice examples of registry's. The site design could include the Saleen History, Racing Heritage and ultimately Saleen Extreme info and Registry. The format could follow the information available in the Saleen book including vin, options and owner.

Why not, Ill put them into an excel spreadsheet and go from there...I think list the color and interior color/saleen or recaro etc....

02-0040 coupe here, torch red, dark charcoal w/ recaro seats.

maybe the date the Saleen came to be by the number plate inside the engine bay...I think mine was 04-02

02-0031 here. Torch red, dark charcoal interior, convertible with speedster package, chrome rims and 10" wide in the rear(although those both might be standard with extremes)? Oh, and it came with the black graphics which to my knowledge may make it a 1 of 1? Thanks for making this thread! I always thought we should have a section just for our cars!!

Now I remember reading that a beryllium extreme went down. It was in a 5.0 mag. Owners of it was black.

whats crazy is my buddy from middle school, whom I saw for first time in 21 yrs this weekend. he wanted to check out my extreme since he has a 2004 281 sc silver vert, said he had a chance to buy the extreme coupe beryillum. The owner of the dealership had it and 2 others that were left over, he took the silver vert. anyways heres the story I found in 5.0 mag

Your friend is lucky to have seen it. From what I understand the other 2 that were made that year were totalled. The convertible by Steve Saleen's son and the other coupe in Minnesota by a mechanic.

Good thread here! I just wanted to chime in that 2002 #02 S281E is Speedlab Yellow and not Zinc. The best way to tell is the metallic like reflection in the paint.

Oops. I keep forgetting Saleen had there own paint colors.

I have pics of about 40 of the E cars. There were 3 beryllium cars in 02. #01,07,and 60. 1 beryllium vert with tan interior in 03 Id have to look to see what number it is. The #60 car was totaled and lost. I heard the 07 car was repainted to the newer version of beryllium. The color changed around 2005. The #01 car is still around. I think 02#02 the speedlab yellow coupe got changed into one of the fast and furious cars for the movie. I don't know if its still around.

02-01E was Steve's car orginally. Where is this car now...anybody know?

I dont have the book, but was there a '99 ~04 S281SC vert in beryllium? I am certain I saw one in Seattle a few years back

Was 02-01E the Yellow speedster?

2002 #13, torch red, Mach 460, chrome wheels, 10" rears. Car currently resides at Aviano AB, Italy. Just over 50,000 miles on the odometer. Gets a lot of looks over here! People almost crash doing double takes!

Already had to put a few in there place!

03-002 Speedlab Yellow Speedster was 03-001 and Steve Saleen's personal car. Performance Autosport got it and sold it in 2004/05 to Kevin Cluck from Midland, TX who is the new owner of Yellow Mustang Registry.
