4th Annual Saleen’s Invade San Antonio - October 19-21, 2012
<hr style="color:#CCCCCC; background-color:#CCCCCC" size="1"> It's a little ways out there, but I want everyone in Texas (and beyond!) to clear their calendars for this one.
For me and most of the Saleen owners that have been, this is the Can’t miss Event in Texas !!

This event will include: Friday Meet & Greet, Saturday Cruise through the Hill County and Party in Old Towne Boerne, and the Biggest Show in San Antonio on Sunday. Last year it pulled 500+ cars.

Below is the link to the show and it’s registration.

One of my favorite pics from last year:

Saleens as far as the eye can see! I believe the count was 20 or 23.

Oh yeah, and even more awards this year, like.....most improved horsepower since last year....

Saleen S281 08-24-2012 01:37 AM

I might have a chance at that one, that "tornado intake" should give me a little boost in performance. A big thanks again to Matt and Jason for last year, too bad you couldn't make it.

List updated above, and a note from event organizer Chad:

Hey Folks!

Chad (your SISA host) here. It truly amazes me how much this thing has grown. Last year was awesome!!! This year will be even better. We will copy some things and bring in some new things as well. I wanted to let everyone who has come in the past and stayed at the Boerne house know that we won't be able to do that this year. We have just out grown the house, and my mom's health (her back) is not good so I think it's for the best that we skip this year on staying at the house. Maybe next year we can return. That being said, I'm working on rooms down at the resort as well as in town. Stay tuned. Also, because of the generosity of everyone last year, there is 350.00 in the pot to help offset some costs so hopefully since we don't have a free place to stay (Boerne House) this will help.

This event is one of my favorite things every year (even though I don't have a Saleen anymore) to host. The people that come are just awesome. Don't miss out.

Please feel free to call or email anytime to give input, ideas, or suggestions for this year. I'm all ears. Looking forward to meeting all the new folks and seeing old friends.

P.S. sorry for any typos. I typed this on my iPhone during a very boring seminar.

Yours truly

RePost for Chad:

Hey fellas, Chad here. Wanted to send out a list of local hotels that I would recommend. They are all close to all our scheduled activities. I've included several price points so pic your choice, but none are dives though. None of them can host all of us, so we are going to be spread out. That's ok though, because you are basically going there to sleep only. I have " hung out" activities planed for every evening. I'll be sending you the schedule soon.

LA Quinta. I stayed there last year and it was comfortable. The parking is not the best as the small lot fills up, but Ron Moser and I created our own places last year...

I have the correct ones...

Ill show and post part numbers later when I get home.
I did the same thing.

Barricade 09-28-2012 05:28 PM

Mike,
As promised:
You need one of the 02255 (each box contains 2) for your main bolt
and two boxes of the 650007 (each box contains 5) for the 4 nuts on each side.
Each box is $2.98

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...psf03861d8.jpg

So less than $10. Or $3 if you just want to cover the main bolt.

GK1933 10-01-2012 09:34 AM

Sorry guys.
That was just what I found on line to give Robert an idea of what I used.

The ones I put on Chris's car last October are the same for my 01'.

So I guess 1/2" are the right ones. What you don't like those really cool plastic strut covers!

99SALEEN/COBRA 10-01-2012 10:20 AM

I'll be there with both saleens hopefully!

Barricade 10-01-2012 02:18 PM

As an FYI - The strut covers dont ft.
The Racecraft strut bolt sticks up higher than
stock and will not allow them to fit.

Of course one can always "adjust" them to fit.
