Hello from Anders Nylén in Sweden

Hello from a big and true Saleen enthusiast in Sweden !
I own a PJ #316, that i bought at October 28th 2012 and got it to Sweden last year at April 02, 2013. I bought my PJ from Mr John Coates of the Golden Empire Mustangs in Bakersfield, CA.
I just love this car and the wonderful performance and how it handles. One thing that i think is quite amazing is the fact that it was produced at Saleen in Irvine on my birthday, March 07.
Before this car i owned a Vista Blue 2006 Saleen S281S/C #1072, that i bought new and imported to Sweden from Mr Frank Morales at Villa Ford in Orange County, CA. Before this car was shipped i got soo much and soo appreciated help from Mr Jim Dvorak of the SOEC, that helped me to organize and ask Mr Steve Saleen to sign my car before the shipping to Sweden !
All the best from Sweden and,
Anders Nylén

Congratulations on your purchase Anders, and it is also great to hear someone that really appreciates the Parnelli Jones cars. Over the 6 or so years we have now owned Parnelli cars so many have changed hands, I believe most that were purchased new were buy investors hoping to make money.....lo and behold they came unstuck. Maybe in a lot of years the values may go up like the old Shelbys but there are too many "special edition" cars built today which will stimey any great rise in prices of modern classics.

Got to meet Ronald from Holland a couple of years ago, another true fan.

Parnelli Jones Mustangs are built to be driven and enjoyed, Brendas #45 Super Shaker has now over 48,000 kms on it and apart from a Watts Lionk pronlem early in the piece have not had a single issues since.

Hello Tony !

Hello Tony from your Swedish PJ brother !
Thank you for the very kind message my friend. Yes I agree with you, our PJ's are meant to be driven...not only stored away as investments. It is soo nice to have a true Saleen/Parnelli Jones friend and enthusiast in Australia ! I am really impressed over what you and your family have in your garage. They are all Really wonderful cars ! I have only my PJ as my enthusiast car. This is my second Saleen. Some years ago i bought a brand new Vista Blue 2006 S281S/C from Mr Frank Morales at Villa Ford in Orange County, Los Angeles, CA. I have always loved Mustang's and Ford's, so my first enthusiast car was my dreamcar from when i was a child...a Ivy Green 1966 Mustang Fastback, a car that both my kids and myself just loved and had a lot of fun with. Then i imported a Dark Highland Green"Bullitt-clone" 1968 Mustang Fastback from Hollywood, CA. I have also owned another 1968 GT Fastback, also in Dark Highland Green, that was in a wonderful condition, restored by a friend of mine to a better than new condition. I sold this car to a museum here in Sweden back in 2012, and then i bought and imported my 2007Saleen, Parnelli Jones from Mr John Coates of the Golden Empire Mustangs in Bakersfield , CA. I think this is my absolute favourite of the Mustangs i have owned. It has it all...the look, the handling, the power...yes that is really a very, very nice car, made by the best manufacturer there is....Saleen.
Take care now my Australian brother, talk with you soon again,
All the best from Sweden, and a true and big Saleen and Parnelli Jones and Ford Mustang enthusiast,
Anders

Hi Dave
#224 is currently for sale Down Under on Carsales.com.au
And also #302 on CountryCars.com.au
Hope that helps with your list.

I have also been thinking it would be interesting to see a list of Saleen's that exist outside of the US.

Different size tire or rim then it’s calibrated for.

Welcome to the PJ owners club you will love your new car as they were among the best Saleens made.
Yes it is a common problem with the speedo
Saleen changed the final drive from 3.5 to 3.73 and as a result the speedo reads lower than actual speed. If your car was originally dynoed as some were the dyno guy would have re-calibrated speedo at that point.

Saleen did offer an opportunity years ago to re-calibrate but that offer is long gone

Cheers Tony

Tony, even when they dynoed the PJ's they forgot to recalibrate the speedo.
My PJ went on the dyno, but wasn't adjusted.
@BG: Conversion to km's is about: miles x1,8 instead of 1,6
