Few more updates.
Got the trunk trim piece ordered off ebay and installed.
Not sure why this was M.I.A., but it's all good now.

Also figured out why my car would leak gas if filled up over 3/4 of a tank.
Turns out the previous owner had put a rubber grommet (cap) over the outlet of the stock fuel hat. This had deteriorated badly (see picture). So when gas was over 3/4 it would basically run out of this spot.
I took the time to cap this line outlet off on both ends with new grommets (caps).
I also installed a new hat to tank seal.
Since I dropped the tank, I went ahead and replaced the filler neck grommet also.
Works like a champ now!
Filled it up and NO MORE LEAKS!! Yay!
Here's a few more pics. Transmission jack works great for holding the tank and dropping it / reinstalling it!
