The rear Saleen wing that is mounted to the top of the deck-lid skin was a styling feature of the S281 S/C and S281 Extreme in 2006. In late 2007 & 2008 the S281 3-Valve (Non Supercharge) had an "S/C Look" option that dressed the car with the wing and vented hood.
One could also delete the deck wing on a factory S/C or Extreme by ordering the vehicle that way.
So yes, most S281 3-Valve Saleen Mustangs do not have the rear wing.
Most S197 Saleen Mustangs were equipped with the side chevron identification decals. In the past, Saleen did delete decals if requested, but I do not recall this during the S197 era.
It is known that the side chevron decals could age and fall off of S197 Saleen Mustangs. Or, it would not be the first time someone removed the decals for their preference. I would also check a vehicle with missing decals for paint repair work or previous damage.
