Saleen Store Re-Opened as "Concours Supercars"
By SOEC/Saleen Forums News -- June 16, 2009 -- Irvine, California
The Irvine Spectrum Center space once known as The Saleen Store has finally reopened its doors and now houses Concours Supercars, an upscale automotive boutique catering to sophisticated clientele such as Ferrari owners and enthusiasts.
Having sat dormant since late 2007 when Saleen Inc. abruptly closed its doors at the peak of the holiday shopping season, the lights are back on and run by
Concours Motorcar Company as a joint business with
Techco, which also (not coincidentally) share a 150,000 square-foot facility in Anaheim.

Concours Supercars has no relation to Steve Saleen and his SMS Supercars business, though as recent as 10 months ago SMS did have plans to utilize the Irvine Spectrum property as its flagship store under the SMS Supercars brand, but instead the SMS Supercars showroom is preparing to open in-house at their new facility in Corona, slated to launch later this year.
That a Saleen "clone" sits in the showroom is an ironic reminder of the heritage of the companies.
