Default 1985 Saleen #88 stolen!

Hi all, It saddens me to say that my 1985 Saleen was stolen sometime late Monday 10/26- early Tuesday right out of my driveway. The car means a great deal to my family, and it really makes me mad that someone out there has it. I know we Saleen/ Mustang owners have such a respect for each other, that I am asking you to keep your eyes and ears open in the hope that can get (at least) most of the car back. Here are the details:

1985 Saleen #88
Red with gold racing stripes
Hayashi Wheels
AZ licence ADE1169, VIN 1FABP28M3FF244177
Stolen from Tucson, AZ 10/26/2009

If you have any information, Please contact the Pima County Sheriff's Office at 520-351-4600 (report#091027056)

A Google search of "1985 Saleen" will bring up an article from Mustang Monthly (May 2007) "Fox for Fun" featuring my car. http://www.mustangmonthly.com/featur...ang/index.html

Again, I ask you all for your help in getting the word out, posting on other forums, etc. Saleens are really only Saleens to their owner, and meerly LX parts to the perp. Thank you all in advance. I will keep you updated. Thank you.

I've got eyes open here in the Scottsdale, AZ area. But, my guess is your ride is probably already south of the border...

Well that's just what happens to about 90% of the cars stolen from here. Arizona highest one of the highest auto theft rates in the nation and most of the vehicles are never recovered because their taken over the border and chopped. Sorry to sound pessimistic, but just being realistic. I do hope he gets his ride back safe and sound...

No worries here! I have a VERY thick shell. I do hate it for the guy. I was torn when 99-0232 got totaled so I know the feeling of losing one unexpectedly. Not to mention having to part with 05-0642...

About 60-80% of cars are recovered. I hope you are on the positive side of that stat.

all of your support is much appreciated. I am sorry to say nothing has turned up yet. All my brothers with USBP are scouring the area also, so hopefully all of our efforts are not in vain.

So, 85-0088 is still missing? Did you settle with the insurance company?
