Default H302 SC Camshafts

Anyone know what the lift and duration of these cams are in the Supercharged H302 Longblock...can't find it anywhere on the 'Net!

They only list them as "high lift, long duration????"

Thanks, Steve

I think it is a state "secret" or something, Sal? Info on these cams is sketchy...either listed the way I said before, or they just plain call them performance!

There's two of them in your engine, so I guess that means it "Double Secret Probation" you're on until you pull them out.

It seems no one on here knows, and no one at Saleen will tell...

Its an off the shelf comp cam actually, the part # is 127300. They used them in the PJ cars too.

Ive seen there engine rooms and stock rooms with these cams on the shelf, i know this for a fact

They only used these cams in the 302 based motors. I dont believe any 281 E cars had cams in them.

Here are the cam specs as per Comp

127300 XE261H-15.5

Adv duration
261 I 278 E

Adv duration @ .050"
222 I 235 E

Valve lift
.490 I .480 E

Lobe seperation
115.5*

You da man Jim...THANK YOU!

That's a decent size cam but it sounds like a lot of lobe seperation.....I would be interested to hear what cam you'd recomend for a blown automatic w/stock converter. (see sig)

Well id be glad to share my suggestion

We offer a custom grind cam with Comp. These cams only have a 112* lobe seperation and have more lift and alot more duration. They require using the Comp phaser limiters because of the larger lift and duration. You also have to use the higher pressure valve springs. What is in your current motor? These cams hold very good vacuum for a street car with a stock converter. I ran my car like this for 6 months and it had great driveability on the street. We also run these cams in our Sterling car and my car as well!

The heads and cams are froma Saleen H302 motor. The bottom is a 302 stroker and it's topped off with a Techco 3.0 Ltr. S/C @ 15 psi (See Sig)

EDIT: The valve springs are whatever came on the heads stock from Saleen.

Un ported...

I made 570rwhp/542rwtq when I had them and the cams on my motor @ 12psi, so they make good power on 91 octane.

I'm anxious to see the power output w/ my old Heads & Cams on Fabman's application @ 15psi w/ the Techco blower and the Auto...should be interesting.

I'm sure @ a later date, Fabman will have the heads ported and polished and the Valve Springs and guides upgraded.
