Default Q: Ideas to restore / replace seating in 1988 convertible?

I know no one is reproducing the interior that came from the factory. What are people using as a substitute? I have seen two lately with damaged front and rear seats.

You can try and match the Flofit interior but it is tough. Being a convertible, you may want to go with stock seats w leather interior as many were produced that way from Saleen. Just a thought

Default Can someone post a picture of your Ford leather interior on your 1988 convertible?

I understand some 1988 Saleen convertibles were shipped with Ford leather interior. I am interested in seeing what the leather looked like. I am trying to purchase a 1988 Saleen convertible that the Flo-fit seats are damaged and looking for a suitable acceptable replacement.

Restore the FloFits, (seat frames, cushions, blatters) and have new leather covers created. Or buy replacement FloFits and transfer the Saleen netted headrests.

FloFit may... or may not... be an active business.

At one time there was a basic FloFit interior kit for Mustangs in generic colors. Meaning front seats and a matching rear seat cover. Circa 2000.

Agree w Dave for looks but those flofits kill my back. I installed Halo headrests from an earlier Mustang in place of the pillows pictured and it greatly improved the look. 5 minute install. I will look to see if I have a picture.
