Question Q: 08-0017 Heritage H302?

I’ve got a Blue 2008 H302. Original owner with just 14,000 miles. Car is just like showroom condition and rarely out of the garage. Trying to find the approximate value for one of these cars for insurance purposes or to possibly sell. Can anyone provide some insight? I’m sure there are a ton more knowledgeable Saleen enthusiasts here!

You own a fairly rare Saleen Mustang.

The H302 line was only offered during the 2008 model year. There were two variants. The H302 3-valve and the H302 Supercharged. Total produced were 30 units. 22 of the H302 3v and 8 of the H302 SC.

Two (2) Vista Blue H302 3-valves were produced. 08-0017H and 08-0020H.

There were no Vista Blue H302 SC models produced.

The 2008 H302 line had a few options. Chrome wheels, body color mirror cap covers, rear louvers, side quarter window scoops, watts-link rear suspension, hood pins, Punch trunk mounted subwoofer.

Even though these 2008 Heritage cars are rarer than the 2007 S302 PJ Edition, I would put their pricing in a similar ballpark. Few know about the 2008 Saleen Heritage line and this Heritage line of Saleen Mustangs typically appeal to non-Saleen vehicle enthusiasts.

Thank you so much for your great info. You nailed it also. It’s my father‘s car and he is actually a Porsche enthusiast but he has had this since it was brand new. Drives it once a week or so... it also has all of the options you listed. It’s a beautiful car and he says he gets a ton more comments and compliments on it than any of his Porsches (and he’s got two 911 Turbo‘s LOL) He even was pulled over by a local policeman just so the cop could see it closer and ask some questions about it. :)

It is a great car and it’s beautiful and it sounds wonderful. I’ll be taking photos of it tomorrow and probably putting it on bringatrailer.com.
Do you think that is the best place to reach the most interested buyers?

BaT is an interesting venue, and has pulled some large numbers for sellers. I have bid on several cars, and only have wound up with one, that was closed outside of BaT (did not meet reserve).

Do note, you may not get accepted (their offerings are "curated"), and it will likely take a few months for the listing to go live (they are that busy). Also to say pictures are CRUCIAL is an understatement. If you dont have photographic experience, I would have a pro do it. You will want 100-200 photos. Also plan your week of the listing to be VERY attentive to the comments. The peanut gallery while most are worthless trolls with zero intent to bid on your car, they are still commenting on your car, and you need to address everything.

Good luck

Default Loa

Hi Dave a question, who would be contacted to get an LOA on the new Heritage? I have one from previous owner he received in 2011. It says it was one of 15 cars built, which we now know is incorrect and only 8 were produced. Is there a way to either have the original LOA updated or a new LOA?
Thanks

Why would his LOA be wrong?

Guess you could contact Saleen.com to purchase another one.

The original LOA it does not appear to have came from Cali. it came from Troy Michigan. I’ll have to take a second look.

Hi. Contact Saleen Performance Parts for a new LOA.

The LOA's made during 2009-11 were from Saleen Performance Vehicles.
