It's black canvas type material.
My window sticker does not call out the option.

This is a speedster, if that matters.

Thx

Try 303 Products -- they do have a convertible top protectant that should help with your problem -- available separately or as a kit for fabric tops.

You can get it on amazon.com or autogeek.net

I've had convertibles with vinyl tops for years, and have only ever used 303 Aerospace protectant on them. I swear by the stuff. I'm sure their fabric protectant is probably excellent also.

quick update

I bought the 303 fabric Guard.

used alot of old towel, slightly lifted the top. placed the towels under the top and on the windshield, over the side windows etc and covered the top.

Around the back window, i used a piece of cardboard to cover the glass and spray around the window with towels covering all the vinyl and paint. Immediately wiped and over spray, which was not much.......

Results

Before, when i washed the car, the top soaked the water in immediately.

After, the top beads and sheds the water as good or better than my hood with the 3 coats of Meguires carnuba!

Works great.

I will try and update in a few months after a few car washes to see how the top is holding up.
