#87-209 engine block question?
I bought a 302 block from a guy in Kansas that says it was originally in #87-209. From what i've read, the Saleens used production blocks. However, when comparing the one i bought with the 6 other e7 blocks i have, this one has an "S" cast in a few places that none of my other blocks have. I don't want to use this block on just a "regular" build if it is something special. Any insight on the block would be greatly appreciated. Thanks-John

87 block
See if the block has the last 8 of the vin# on the rear flat surface behind where the intake would be.That car had work done by J Bittel also so it may be special .I never saw that befor either but if it is the one from the car the last 8 of the vin will be there.
