I viewed last night. Was one of the first.
No, these are not Saleen parts. I was looking online around 3am and thought I would see what the old Kamei kit looked like. I am not sure if this is what you have or not. Anyway, nothing above has value to a Saleen owner. |

I assume you're talking about this kit below. Front is def different but it's close.
Looks like I have a rare kit. I wasn't asking if its valuable to a Saleen owner, but to Mustang owners in general. The wing almost looks like an attempted knock off of the new edge s351 wing but its different. mine has 3 rectangular cut outs compared to the 4 cut outs: |

Has DH Buck branded on the kit. I was told this was the supplier of the original Saleen kit. So that explains why it looks so similiar.

Appreciate it. Anymore info you find will be appreciated. I'm about to google it. I googled fox steeda mustangs a couple days ago and couldnt find that kit.
Is the wing a coupe steeda wing? I noticed the steeda cars in the pics look like the air dam and rear valance is all one piece. whereas the ronnie sox edition is 3 pieces for front and rear like my kit is. unless its hard to see it in those pics. was the steeda kit produced by DH Buck? thats whats branded on mine. weird how the steeda front/rear is 1 piece. and sox is a 3 piece. My conclusion to this is that my kit is the actual Ronnie Sox kit. its the 3 piece air dam and 3 piece rear valance. the car it came off of had the Ronnie Sox rims also.
Unless you can prove the steeda kit was 3 pieces also. From all the steeda pics i've seen...they are one solid 1-piece air dam and one solid 1-piece rear valance. correct me if i'm wrong? Last edited by ModifiedBeasts.com; 07-11-2012 at 05:58 PM. |

The early Steeda body kits were made by a company called A&A, were urethane and had a 3 piece front and rear along with the side skirts. We used them during the 88,89,& 90 model year builds for sure. We had just come out with the Steeda wing prototype when I made a career change and left the company.
The red hatch in the pics above was a 1990 Hatch that we built for Dario, I also had a 1990 Wild Strawberry over black coupe that we tested drag parts on. It ended up with 16" CSA's and Flofit's and got the suspension treatment and sold. The Steeda ads above were my creations, not bad for a 20yo punk with a mullet :). I remember the Ronnie Sox cars, always thought they were just a dealership, signature conversion which is why the body kit was most likely out of the box generic like the Steeda kit. |

Hey Kerrdogg, quick question for you. When did you leave Steeda? Back in 1992 I bought a 92 #005 for my thright birthday and I still own it.
I was curious to find out if the windshied and rear decklid stickers could be replaced with the correct font as in the adds and articles above. All the best, Sergio |
