performance autosport sells them but you have to be able to provide a matching VIN.

The fender emblems were for 2002-2004 (1999-2001 Saleens used the Ford emblems). There are two sets on Ebay, but they are north of $100.00 a set. I have two of them myself, but they are going back onto my car during reassembly from paint. They do look nice though... this is why I upgraded, too.

I see them occasionally on eBay but a bit pricey. Makes me want to figure out a way to padlock mine to the car.

You also have to be sooo careful as to what you buy. I have bought two sets where I've had issues. Put one set away only to realize a year later that the two badges are a totally different size. The other set was put on the car and fell off after only a few months. Compared them all to the originals I still had and you can see very slight differences between legit and fake. One thing that appears to be true (and maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong) is that the "S" goes in the same direction on both the left and right side badges. Hope this makes sense

The "S" logo is wrong and wants $99.99

All together wrong and wants $124.00

None of the ones on eBay are Authentic but that is my .2 cents.

I've been thinking of just putting these one. My emblems are very weathered as well.

They wouldn't be period correct, but I think they would look nice.

If it were me, I would just stick the little horsies back on the fenders until Saleen gets these things back in production. It would look a lot more correct, though not correct for your year. Only people in the know would wonder why a 1999-2001 Saleen has a 2002-2004 wing, door carpet, and hood scoop, or why a 2002-2004 Saleen has 1999-2001 fender emblems.

The decklid emblem is very thick and blocky... would look out of place on the fender, in my opinion.

Hummm, it does say fender emblem in the page. I didn't even notice that. But it is actually the decklid emblem, if I am not mistaken.

Now that I look closer I have to agree with you. It does look like the decklid emblem with the "supercharged" underneath.

The emblems linked above are the 2005-09 S281 fender emblems.

The 1999-04 S281 trunk emblems have a smooth black background while the 2005-09 fender versions have a textured black background (a detail pointed to us from an owner many moons ago).

Both 1999-04 trunk emblems or 2005-09 fender emblems will look silly on the fenders of an 1999-04 Mustang.

Yup, I noted that, too.

Hummm, you are right. I haven't had a lot of experience with 2005-2009 Saleens, but one day hopefully I will have one sitting in my garage and will learn more as I go. You are right though (I just Googled it and saw some images), they are almost identical. Good info.

The S7 nose emblem and/or the 2007-08 Heritage Shaker base emblem could make for a nice temporary fender emblem. Both are a non-obscene square.

Hummm, didn't know the S7 emblem was available from Saleen. That would be a nice alternative, in my opinion. Good call, Dave!

Anyone seen this one before? I have one similar on the deck lid except it is solid black.

There's a set on eBay with the S logo correct on both, selling from Canada.

I would encourage people to avoid unlicensed or counterfeit pieces that violate trademark laws.

Both of these are aftermarket, non-Saleen items. They have been on the market for probably ten years. By multiple printers.

It was on the car when I bought it. I guess it replaced a Ford logo emblem? I figured it wasn't a true Saleen piece since I haven't seen it anywhere else. Since it is not a replica of an actual Saleen emblem I don't have an issue.

The problem with some emblems and decals is they are hard to find or very overpriced. I replaced the bumper numbers on my car since the old ones were of a strange font and I had the bumper painted. While the online venders I found were reasonable in price for decals the shipping was outrageous and made a $20 transaction double. I opted for a local vinyl shop for the 3 numbers for about $7.

This oval emblem was on the back of my car when I got it. I'm sure it's not genuine, but I'm sure I'm not going to replace it either.

Nope, not factory. Although I had not seen that one before.
